Our QA/QC & Inspection Department provides various types of Inspection and testing services to a number of clients in Nigeria such as NNPC, Oando plc, Saplet Petroleum, Nest oil, as well as many major international companies and local construction companies.
We have most modern testing equipment and highly skilled and experienced NDT Technicians, Inspectors and Inspection Engineers in our QA/QC & Inspection Department.

QA/QC & Inspection provides World Wide Vendor inspection services through our associates.
Further QA/QC & Inspection Services provides Heat Treatment Services such as Pre-Heating and Post Weld Heat Treatment using electrical resistance method. Further, MED has a fully computerized electrically heated furnace to carry out shop heat treatment of large assemblies, vessels etc.
QA/QC & Inspection functions as an independent inspection agency for in-house jobs. QA/QC & Inspection Department develops inspection and test plans and control procedures for all Industrial Contracts Division projects in line with the applicable Codes and standards and client’s specification.
QA/QC & Inspection monitors as well as carries out all required stage-wise inspection and testing right from procurement stages to final release of an engineering product to client to ensure the quality of the products / services provided by us fully comply with the customers’ requirements and statutory regulations.

Industrial Maintenance

For more than 3 years, MED has supported a solid client base by offering a 24 hour call out service for industrial maintenance.
Work in this field includes:

  • Internal cleaning & re-tubing of exchangers and furnaces

Traffic & Highway Maintenance

In the field of Traffic & Highway Maintenance, most of the road marking and street furniture installed in Nigeria reflect the capability and expertise of MED in roads, airports and car park markings.

Civil & Structural Engineering

MED Limited has been actively involved in civil engineering and construction projects for industrial plants and commercial residential buildings. From the beginning, Civil and Structural Engineering performed well, reaping the benefits of a rapidly growing construction sector. MED has broadened the scope of work in the construction industry, branching off into specialist disciplines including infrastructure work, pre-cast and pre-stressed concrete structures, sub-stations, pumping and power stations and reservoirs; each independent in function, yet all forming the core of activities. Mechanical Engineering

By focusing on supporting the ever increasing need for expert mechanical engineering services, MED carries out EPIC projects in the areas of pipeline engineering, storage tank construction, plant assembly, scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and plant shutdown services. Supported by its own comprehensive fabrication facilities, MED also undertake diverse mechanical engineering works. Backed up by a quality control and quality assurance inspection team MED ensures that all works complies with international standards and codes of practice.

Electrical Engineering

Exploring opportunities in cooperation with international companies, MED is an active participant in numerous, substantial projects. Electrical Engineering carries out both industrial and domestic works including LV/HV power installation, Installation, Testing and Commissioning of Cathodic Protection System, Comprised of Internal Current Anodes, Junction Boxes, Splice/Terminal Boxes, CP Band Holes, Cables and Conduits. Cable laying and jointing and sub-station installation.

Instrumentation Engineering

Synchronous to the Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering was established. Instrumentation engineering covers a wide array of maintenance, overhauling, testing, calibration and certification of all types of instruments, including safety, ESD, and control valves; PLC’s DCS / SCADA Systems, and installation
and pre-commissioning of turnkey projects. A team of professional & highly skilled technicians, specializing in oil, gas and petrochemical plants, power and desalination plants, supports companies operations.

Low Current Engineering

As a core business component, MED markets Low Current Systems in the area, devoting special attention to computing, electronic, communication, supply and installation. The Low Current Engineering Department is formed from the best engineers and technical support staff in the industry. MEDS’ recognize these engineers as the backbone to its business and have invested in a professional engineering environment with the latest technologies in the fields of Telecommunication, Fire Alarm, Building & Home Management System, Closed Circuit Television, Public Address System, Network and Telephone System, and Broadcasting System.
